Adam's Canyon is a fun Hike that is 5 minutes away from our house. This was Bo's first hike. He did really well and this will not be his only hike! It was so pretty and green! I love living in Utah. I also love the fact that we have tons of place to hike around where we live.
Bo and Riley all ready to go.
Cute little family... This picture was taken minutes before I my arm and fingers started to swell from a bug bite of some kind.. Riley kept asking me if I was okay... My response was, " If I can still breath I think I will be okay." I never stopped breathing don't you worry.
I have to leave you with a picture of Mr. Fez. He was unable to attend the hike. . . He doesn't like nature. :)

Ragnar 2013
This Year we did the Ragnar Wasatch Back! Oh my goodness it was fun. I always love a good relay! We were in van one this year. This race will be one that we do again.. If you have never done a relay I highly recommend it! It is hard but so worth every painful second.
My first leg was one of the hardest things I have ever ran. It started with 3 miles of uphill rock madness and ended with 4.2 miles of running down a freaking crazy rocky canyon... Dodging rocks and cars was not part of my training program... But I lived to tell the tale. :)
My second leg was pretty mild. a few hills but nothing to crazy. I did get a little grumpy at this point.. (did I mention that the day before Ragnar I was at girls camp? Girls game Tuesday and Wednesday, putting me home at 11:00 Wednesday night. Then waking up at 3am to be in Logan On Thursday...) But my husband is a champ and helped me through my tired meanness.. Is that a word? is now.
My last and final leg was pretty easy. I still feel I could have done better but such is life. NEXT YEAR!
I can't be done with this post until I give a high five to my van mates. :)
Riley Woods- My racing raptor. You can climb a hill like its NOTHING!!!!!! And you are speedy! We are all so lucky to have you on our team.. I could never get through a relay without you by my side!
Katee Lee- The Icy Hot QUEEN!!!! You are freaking amazing. I wish I could be like you. Even if I was to work twice as hard as you... You would still beat me... You never give up even when you are in pain... Oh and Tum Tum Tum Tum Tummmmmssss
Meredith- I don't know how we are going to do this next relay without you. You are the mom to the team and we all look up to you so much. You are always there to keep everyones spirits up no matter what!!! And you are a kick butt runner. . . . :)
Amanda- The girl can run. I loved having you on the team and I know there will be many more relays to come with you. Maybe one day I will be fast like you. :)
Colton- He didn't die in the heat. :) Relays are 50 time more funny with this boy. Not to mention he is also pretty dang fast.
LOVE MY TEAM (VAN)
Until next time. P.S. GO RED! Enjoy the pics below

Memorial weekend
Can I just start off by saying how much I love extra long weekends... What could be better than your Sunday evening coming to and end and realizing that you still have one more full day of pure not going to work happiness... Yeah I can't think of many things that are better than that. Anyways today is Tuesday that feels like Monday. But the good news, tomorrow is already Wednesday. Half way there! We can do this! Anyways... Back to memorial weekend.
Saturday was spent at the Zoo With the Woods. We also took Brayden along for the fun adventure. It was a super fun time. Lot of animals. haha duh. Of course there were lots of animals... It was hot, kind of smelly, and the new polar bear thing was smaller than expected. . . But, who doesn't love the zoo. And taking little kids makes it about 100 times better. After the zoo we went and bought round 2 of are garden... Round 1 was going great until the fence we made around it failed and Bo was the murder of 4 tomato plants and 2 cucumbers.... No I am not bitter.. after that we went to dinner and then came home and restarted are garden.
Sunday was a day filled with church, food, family, and fun. We also went to the cemetery with Woods.
Monday( the beloved extra day of my weekend) was spent sleeping in, cleaning the house, Going shopping for things we don't need, another BBQ, a walk with the cutest dogs in the world, and the season opener of the Bachelorette... Don't judge until you watch.
Summer is finally showing up and we couldn't be happier! We love love love living so close to the mountains. Riley is 10 minutes away from the weber river which means fly fishing all summer long. Well I think that is about everything. enjoy so pictures that I am about to post. :)

mother's day weekend and such.
Happy Mother's day everyone! I can say everyone because there are only about 5 people that read my blog and you are all moms in one way or another... In my case I am a mom... to my dogs!!!!!! :) I will find anyway to celebrate a holiday! But really all you moms out there are freaking amazing! I don't know how you do it, but ..you do, and you rock.
I want to give one final Happy Mother's day to my mom. This lady is freaking amazing and I love her so much. I wouldn't be who I am today without her. I have been thinking a lot about my mom these last couple of weeks while I have been busy planning girls camp. HOW DID SHE DO IT ALL THOSE YEARS?!?! She is a rock star! All my years of girls camps were amazing and that is because of my dedicated mom. She always wanted the best for us and the best is what we got! I will be giving myself a pat on the back if I can pull off a camp that is half as good as one my mom could put on. I have big shoes to fill!! Thanks mom for being such a good example. You have taught me everything and I am so blessed to have you as a mom. You are one of my best friends!! I love you mom. :)
And now for a week of updates....
We have been busy with the yard work... When I say we I mean Riley. :) Love that husband of mine!
I had a good planning meeting with the other camp director and we are really starting to get things rolling. If anyone has any advice on BOOT CAMP ( Building our own testimonies) I would love your ideas! Hit me with anything you have. Also, If anyone has any ideas for a faith walk also let me know. I have something planned but I need a few more ideas. :)
Work is going good. Riley should be able to work from home soon. This will be a very good change for him. Once he starts working from home I will start working the 6-2:30 shift... I have done it once and I will do it again. I have mixed feelings about this but for the most part I am okay with it. We have been loving the warm weather that has finally kicked in. And the sun is out after 8:00!!!! This is heaven.
On Saturday we had made plans to go to City Creek... One minute we are driving to City Creek and the next we are at Village Bakery in West Jordan. This was then followed by a trip to the mall, Target, a snow cone run, our parents house, dinner from Red Maple ( thanks mom and dad), Walmart, Sally's Beauty, and then finally home. We had such a funny day spent with each other and our families. But, I am still trying to figure out how City Creek turned into all this... Not to mention we spent a few more dollars than we we're planning. Oh well.... :)
What a great weekend it has been. Here is to another week. :)

Yard Work......
Growing up I always DREADED doing yard work. I would make deals with my mom that if I cleaned the whole house Katee and Colton would do the yard work... Yes, I would rather scrub toilets, do the dishes, sweep, and wash windows rather than pull a few weeds and plant some flowers. I should also mention that I have mowed the lawn one time in my life. Katee stopped me halfway and finished the rest because A- I was to slow and B- I couldn't make a straight line to save my life.
Now here I am 6 years later with a yard of my own and no Katee or Colton to help me.... Thanks goodness for a husband that loves yard work and has been anticipating the day when the lawn was long enough to mow. CRAZY I know. Even with him loving yard work I still have to pull my weight... And pull my weight I did this weekend. Between moving grass from one side of the yard to the other, smoothing out dirt for the dog run, taking out two trees in the front yard, taking out five roses bushes in the front yard.. ( I hate rose bushes.) And last but not least putting in 80 cement pavers for the dog run and setting up the dog run.... We worked hard and it has paid off! I can even say that I didn't mind the work that much. It was fun to see the finished product. I also love that we can design our yard the way that we want it. :) And my advice to those who don't like yard work... stick to town home living.
Well that was pretty much the sum of our weekend. We also cleaned the house... Whoop we are cool.
Oh wait we also have Cafe Rio last night... That was super yummo!!!! We are now watching amazing race and getting ready for another week. :) I will try and remember to post some pictures of our cute house soon.

long lost blogger
Well hello everyone! Its been a few months. :) So much has happened in the last 5 months.
December 2012
We sold the town home and were able to buy a cute home in Layton. We were able to move in 2 weeks before christmas ( on my birthday). It was a stressful road but we are so happy to be here in Layton. Many people ask why Layton? My response is usually why not?? We prayed long and hard and we feel that we are here for a reason and this place is truly for us. We love the ward! It is 100% better than the ward in West Jordan. People know my name!!!! And I have made lots of friends.
We added a new little ( not so little) dog child to the mix. His name is Bo. He is a black lab. We love him. Its okay if you think we are crazy because I know were are crazy. :) Riley is still working for Select Health and I am still working at IMC. We are able to carpool everyday which makes things very nice.
January/February 2013
We welcomed in the new year! The only thing I can think about for January and February is SNOW SNOW SNOW and more SNOW!!! Can you say 3 feet? Yes I know we live in Utah but come on! That stuff was crazy! But I still love living so close to the mountains! I wouldn't change it even if I could.
This month also included 2 visits to the insta care. Not the greatest moments in my life. Stupid asthma! Thanks to the best husband every who took good care of me. He was always there to pick me up off the floor when my lungs shut down. Yes I am dramatic. They didn't really shut down. duh. But almost.
March
We Ran the Red Rock Relay Dixie. 70 miles of pure fun! The team members were Me, Riley, Katee, Meredith, Landon, and AC. We had some much fun! Did you ever take me for a runner? Because I didn't. The legs of the race that I took charge of were 1 and 6. 3.7 and 7.3. It was a challenge but I loved it. My last leg was so amazing! I started at the end of snow canyon and ran my self crazy all the way to dixie rock and then down to a park that is by the temple! (For those of you that are familiar with St. George.) My whole family came and supported us as we ran from 7:45am-6:17pm. They are all supportive and loving! Thanks again family. Maybe one day I will post pictures. If you are ever interested in running stop thinking and just do it. You will learn to love it.
March madness also started for college basketball... We started out well But the ship sunk for us. Funny story. . . Me and Riley pick the same bracket every year. We are both to competitive for are own good. At least we know our weaknesses right? RIGHT!!!
Bo at this point is 3 times as big as Fez. They love to play and most days it scares me so bad. I know one day I am going to look out the window and Fez is going to be a chew toy to Bo. But until then I let them play! Speaking of outside, WE. LOVE. HAVING. A. BACKYARD. It has been so amazing. I can't wait until the summer when we can have a garden and spend every evening outside.
April
Well here we are on the the 8th of April. Happy 1 year and 7 months of being married. The 4th marked 2 years of being engaged... Yeah you all think I am cool for remembering all these dates?? Don't get to excited that is all I remember. haha.
The saying April showers bring May flowers is coming in to play. Tonight we are stuck inside while we wait out a rain and windstorm. The Joys of Davis County.
Well those of you that are still reading... Thank you! I am going to try and do better and maybe I will even post some pictures soon. But until then. . . .Have a great night!
