Zion and St. George

After the race we had decided to stay until Wednesday for a late anniversary trip. It was so nice to have a vacation not to mention it was much needed.  Sunday was spent relaxing and sleeping. Monday we were feeling almost back to normal from the race so we decided to go to Zion to see the narrows.  It was AMAZING. I have never been there so it was extra exciting for me. Tuesday we did some shopping and went to the famous Swigs. The drinks are really amazing and I will be back. We also did the small little hike to Dixie Rock. Wednesday we woke up early and headed back to Zion before we had to pick up Fez.We saw Emerald pools and the zion museum.  It was so nice to be away from work for a week and to spend time with just Riley. Life has been so crazy these last few months that time together doesn't happen as often as we would like.  It was nice to come home but we are already planning are next trip to Zion.

Red Rock Relay Zion 2013

Red Rock Relay Zion was so much fun this year. This was are second year doing it and I am 100% sure it won't be the last! Zion is a two day race with a 12 man team.. Or a team of 6 if you are feeling really crazy. Katee, Holliann, Angela, Staci, Reed and Meredith were in Van 1. Me, Riley, Landon, AC, Brad and Celeste were Van 2.  P.S. I know no one cares about who ran the race.. This is for me to remember. :) We started at 6:15 am on Friday and finished Saturday around 5pm. It was a long race but so fun and so worth it. Between, hurt knees and legs, Cattle guards, Rain, cold weather, the burning hot sun, port-o-potties, and sleeping in church parking lots I would say we had a dang good time! Did I mention that I ran my night leg all by myself this year.! Whoot go me!

The best two years..

On September 8th we celebrated our 2nd anniversary.  I can't believe it has been two years. Being married is the best and I wouldn't change it for anything. September 8th, 2011 was the best day of my life. I couldn't ask for a better husband. He is my best friend. The last two years haven't always been easy but they have be oh so worth it! Thanks for being so good to me Riley Woods! I am still trying to figure out what I did to deserves you.... I can't what to see what year three has in store for us. :) 

It still puts a smile on my face every time I look at our wedding pictures. There wasn't a moment in the day where I wasn't smiling.


Our first anniversary was spent running are first Relay! This was right before I started my night leg where Riley had to run with me.. So romantic! ha After the race we spent the week in Disneyland.

And for #2........
There is a reason why this photo is in black and White... This year we decided to have a low key day since we will be running the Red Rock again.. after the race we will be staying in Zion and doing some fun hikes.  We started and finished Big bang theory season 2 and had a yummy crab dinner.. I also stayed in my sweats and t-shirt all day long. :) Pure bliss.

I love you Riley Woods. Here is to eternity!

Colton and Amanda's Wedding-September 5th

Colton and Amanda's Wedding week was so much fun! 

Tuesday we were able to go to the temple with Amanda for the first time. I love going to the temple. Such an amazing place. Nothing is better than being there with your family. 

Wednesday was the wedding dinner. The dinner was at the Gathering Place in Gardner Village. It turned out to be amazing and the food was divine! ( I am still dreaming of the chocolate cake. )

Thursday was the wedding day. Colton and Amanda were married in the Draper Temple. Later that night there reception was at Noah's. 

It was so fun to be able to attend a temple ceremony so close to our anniversary. I loved all the memories that came back to me. :) I love weddings! 

Congrats Colton and Amanda! We love you!!! I am so excited to have another sister!

Camp outs and Timpanogos Cave

This past weekend we had a camp out in the back yard with Riley's side of the family plus Katee. I am not much of the camp out type girl but this fun! We made tinfoil dinners, had a campfire, s'mores, and cobbler! Yumm!!! Sleeping out under the stars was so fun. It reminded me of all the fun times I had when I was younger! I love that we have the mountain right in the backyard and we can also see the stars! I love summer time. 

The next day we hiked timpanogos cave. What a hike that was. It was so nice to be out and about. And the cave was just as amazing as I remembered it! 

Throwback Thursday

Today we are throwing it back to Mr. Fez in honor of his birthday on Saturday. I can believe how much he has changed. Where did my little all black pup go? We love having him! Happy 2nd birthday Fesenko.
