Pictures from Memorial Day

Best friends.

Memorial weekend

Can I just start off by saying how much I love extra long weekends... What could be better than your Sunday evening coming to and end and realizing that you still have one more full day of pure not going to work happiness... Yeah I can't think of many things that are better than that. Anyways today is Tuesday that feels like Monday. But the good news, tomorrow is already Wednesday. Half way there! We can do this! Anyways... Back to memorial weekend.

Saturday was spent at the Zoo With the Woods. We also took Brayden along for the fun adventure. It was a super fun time. Lot of animals. haha duh. Of course there were lots of animals... It was hot, kind of smelly, and the new polar bear thing was smaller than expected. . . But, who doesn't love the zoo. And taking little kids makes it about 100 times better. After the zoo we went and bought round 2 of are garden... Round 1 was going great until the fence we made around it failed and Bo was the murder of 4 tomato plants and 2 cucumbers.... No I am not bitter.. after that we went to dinner and then came home and restarted are garden.

Sunday was a day filled with church, food, family, and fun. We also went to the cemetery with Woods.

Monday( the beloved extra day of my weekend) was spent sleeping in, cleaning the house, Going shopping for things we don't need, another BBQ, a walk with the cutest dogs in the world, and the season opener of the Bachelorette... Don't judge until you watch.

Summer is finally showing up and we couldn't be happier! We love love love living so close to the mountains. Riley is 10 minutes away from the weber river which means fly fishing all summer long. Well I think that is about everything. enjoy so pictures that I am about to post. :)

mother's day weekend and such.

Happy Mother's day everyone! I can say everyone because there are only about 5 people that read my blog and you are all moms in one way or another... In my case I am a mom... to my dogs!!!!!! :) I will find anyway to celebrate a holiday! But really all you moms out there are freaking amazing! I don't know how you do it, but ..you do, and you rock.

I want to give one final Happy Mother's day to my mom. This lady is freaking amazing and I love her so much. I wouldn't be who I am today without her. I have been thinking a lot about my mom these last couple of weeks while I have been busy planning girls camp. HOW DID SHE DO IT ALL THOSE YEARS?!?! She is a rock star! All my years of girls camps were amazing and that is because of my dedicated mom. She always wanted the best for us and the best is what we got! I will be giving myself a pat on the back if I can pull off a camp that is half as good as one my mom could put on. I have big shoes to fill!! Thanks mom for being such a good example. You have taught me everything and I am so blessed to have you as a mom. You are one of my best friends!! I love you mom. :)

And now for a week of updates....

We have been busy with the yard work... When I say we I mean Riley. :) Love that husband of mine!
I had a good planning meeting with the other camp director and we are really starting to get things rolling. If anyone has any advice on BOOT CAMP ( Building our own testimonies) I would love your ideas! Hit me with anything you have. Also, If anyone has any ideas for a faith walk also let me know. I have something planned but I need a few more ideas. :)

Work is going good. Riley should be able to work from home soon. This will be a very good change for him. Once he starts working from home I will start working the 6-2:30 shift... I have done it once and I will do it again. I have mixed feelings about this but for the most part I am okay with it. We have been loving the warm weather that has finally kicked in. And the sun is out after 8:00!!!! This is heaven.

On Saturday we had made plans to go to City Creek... One minute we are driving to City Creek and the next we are at Village Bakery in West Jordan. This was then followed by a trip to the mall, Target, a snow cone run, our parents house, dinner from Red Maple ( thanks mom and dad), Walmart, Sally's Beauty, and then finally home. We had such a funny day spent with each other and our families. But, I am still trying to figure out how City Creek turned into all this... Not to mention we spent a few more dollars than we we're planning. Oh well.... :)

What a great weekend it has been. Here is to another week. :)
