last post of 2013- New Years Resolutions

2013 has been a great year. So many fun new things. We have had so much fun and great memories have been made. Running 4 relay races, celebrating our second anniversary, new jobs, yard work, learning how to raise a crazy lab pup, Going to Zion National Park, lots of fun adventures and hikes, and fun trips to St. George and Oregon are at the top of our list. 2013 has had a few hard times but those times have only made us better! I can't wait to see what  2014 has is store for us! Riley and I have made a few resolutions together and also personal goals as well. Here they are...

Goals together... 2014

Attend the temple once a month. :) I am excited for this one.
DAILY scripture study and prayers.
Be better at saving money and handling money in general.
Payoff  the Pathfinder... Shouldn't be to hard to do..
Go to Disneyland or a Cruise!
And... Drink as much soda as we want! hahah
Be more prepared for the races that we run.

Goals for myself... 2014

Run more- I am not putting an amount.. As long as it is more than I did in 2013  I will be doing good.
LESS social media- I am on Facebook and Instagram WAY to much!
Be better at my church calling.
Be healthy- less junk, more exercise, cook dinner more often.
Be a better person- Better wife, friend, and daughter.

I know I can do this if a change a few things at a time. I am always up for a challenge so this should be fun.

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!! 2013 has been great! I am so excited to start 2014!!! here is to new challenges and new adventures!

Christmas 2013

We love Christmas. It was such a great day! I also love the days that lead up to christmas day. The Sunday before Christmas was the Balmforth family Christmas party at my parents house. It was great to see everyone and of course the food was amazing! Monday We went to temple square to see the lights. It was really busy but so worth it. It was a great way to kick of the week of Christmas. The lights were beautiful. While there we watch a short video of the birth of the savior. I loved this. It was a great remind of what Christmas is really about. Tuesday afternoon we headed to lunch at Siegfrieds with the Woods. This is a fun tradition that everyone loves. later we headed to my grandma's house for the fun Christmas eve dinner. It was again so fun to be around everyone. Can I just say how much fun it is to watch little kids open presents. I love the excitement that every present brings. After that we headed home. Christmas morning was again so much fun. I was spoiled! That morning we headed back down to Taylorsville to spend more time with family and have some yummy breakfast. The rest of the day was spend relaxing at home. What a great Christmas it was.

I love this time of year when serving others  is such a big part of the season. I hope that we can continue this feeling all year long. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It is a time where we can spend time with family and be reminded of all the things we have been blessed with. This year was amazing. We spent the morning running the turkey trot 5k. We were also able to spend time with both of are families. And of course we ended the day with some black Friday shopping. I am now laying in bed watching the new TV we just got. Thanks mom and dad for buying yourselves a new TV. Your old one works great!  Thanks again!

Going with the trend I want to list a few things that I am grateful for.

I am so grateful for Riley. I don't know what I did to deserve him but I am truly blessed to have him in my life. He is such an amazing husband. I can't believe we have almost known each other for four year.  It really has been the best four years of my life because of you. Thanks for helping me to become a better person. Thanks for all you do! I love you!

I am so grateful for the gospel. I am also grateful to  know that I have a heavenly father who loves me.  I am grateful for prayer. On those days where I have nothing left in me, I know I can go to my heavenly father and he will give me the strength and the faith that I need. I am also grateful for eternal families. I am also grateful for my beehives. They teacher me more than I teach them. I love the examples that they are to me. There testimonies amaze me every sunday.

I am grateful for amazing parents. My parents are so incredible. They are always willing to help whenever we need them. I hope that one day I will be able to repay them for everything they have done for us. From lending a hand in helping with are house to being a person to talk to they are always there. They are always supporting us and cheering us on. We love you so much!

My Siblings. In laws and all. I love having siblings. They are always there. Whether we are laughing or crying. They are my best friends.

My car, house, and job. I am so blessed and spoiled to have these things.

My dog babies... People think I am crazy for loving my dogs the way I do but I don't care. They are the best. They have taught me so much in there short years of life.

I hope you all had a great thanksgiving. I hope we can all remember what this time of year is about. We are truly blessed!
